About this tool

What it does. This calculator turns the raw inputs of a print, filament weight, print time, electricity, printer wear, into a real price: break-even, a fair price with margin, and a suggested sell price, with a live breakdown of where each dollar goes.

Why it exists. "How much should I charge?" comes up the moment students start selling what they print, whether that's a school maker fair, a fundraiser, or just a side hustle. Filament cost is the obvious number, but time, electricity, and printer wear are real costs too, and skipping them is how kids (and adults) end up pricing their work at a loss without realizing it.
